What is Millie's Mark?

Millie's Mark is a specially endorsed award which is named after Millie Thompson who died after choking on food at nursery in 2012 at the age of just 9 months old; it is awarded as an exceptional achievement to childcare providers who go above and beyond the bare minimum required to ensure that our children are safe whilst in their care and within the confines of their childcare settings.

Available to nurseries, nursery schools, pre-schools, primary schools, and childminders alike; Millie's Mark shows that 100% of staff are fully trained in paediatric first aid, reassuring parent's and acknowledging that our children and their safety are at the forefront of the childcare providers minds at all times.
